Queen Bee

The Queen-Bee.

The trick to being a queen-bee isn’t necessarily beauty but industriousness. Beauty helps, but without the drive to get to the top and stay on top, beauty will only get you to the queen-bee in waiting.

“A queen bee is the leader of a female group, a clique’s leader, usually a popular young lady. Characteristics often associated to her are a pleasant appearance, charisma, skill in manipulation, and monetary power.”

A queen-bee is commonly seen amoungst the youth. She’s the girl everyone wants to be, and the leader of the highest social group on the playground. She has so much power, she can control a person’s life. The queen-bee can control who you go out with, where you hang around and who you’re seen with. She can tell you what to wear, where to sit, and can even go to the extremes of turning you against your best friends to make them look like the bad guy and like she’s sticking up for you. The queen-bee can be a heartless user, and just use you to make herself not look like a complete larry. She can use you to get what she wants, whether that’s by giving you a lift to school or turning your partner against you so she can have them.

The bottom line is, the queen-bee has the morals of a man, wears fake tan, thick make up and tries to pretend she’s someone she isn’t. People follow this example and try to copy to be in their social crowd. The queen-bee is often seen as fake, plastic and bitchy.

Why would people follow this example, and try to be like her if she’s so heartless and fake?
